The Golden Triangle and Thailand.

Featured Replies

I've a couple of friends in the northern town of Pia at the moment and they are so chillaxed that they have not e-mailed me for a few days.

I've heard many stories about the Golden Triangle but felt it to much like the Bermuda triangle to venture there.

Any members got any stories and vague recollections or even outer body experiences about the area.

There gone, it's a nightmare all those Triads running around.

Is Pai in the Golden Triangle? Not sure unsure.png

It's a superbly relaxed small town, the beat at the night market is very gentle, it has some excellent restaurants, and in particular the best fish restaurant I've been to in Thailand.

If you ever go book one of the executive rooms at the Yoma Hotel, and chill out in the infinity pool. I spent three hours in the pool one day watching the clouds rolling over the mountains, listening to the birdsong, watching the same birds dancing around on the grass in front of me, and watching the locals fish in the river, tend to the fields.

Flying in and out with Kan Airlines adds to the experience as it's wonderful to see Pai and the Northern mountains from the air in a Cessna.

I could go on, but go see for yourself. smile.png
