Are these the same as "Burmese trecking poles"?

I saw some on sale at "Amazing Sandwich" next to SOHO bar near Kad Suan Keow.

Thank you, I will check it out. I am not sure if they're called "Burmese poles" around here, because there is probably nothing particularly Burmese about them; it's just the regular telescopic sticks with straps used for hiking. So far I've always hiked without poles, but after trekking over mossy/rocky terrain in the rainy season and making ample and unintentional "butt contact" with the ground, I think they may actually be useful.

A few years ago I was looking for the same. I eventually found some seen cheap telescoping Chinese trekking poles for sale in Mae Sai but never found anything in Chiang Mai.
