Wednesday - Tonights gonna be a good night! The long awaited reopening of the famous Nana Disco is happening tonight at the Nana Hotel right opposite Nana Plaza located on Bangkok popular nightlife street, Soi Nana.

The all new Nana Disco has had a serious remodel job reminiscent of the old Nana Disco a few moons ago. It now has a large open-plan design, brand new lighting and sound systems, a modern interior, with a VIP seating area.

To kick off the party the super sexy DJ Pinky Kiss will be spinning the tunes.

Hopefully they have a new manager as well because one of the old ones was a real tosser. Thought he was a real tuff guy evicting patrons for whatever reason ( some deserved, or many not, from some observations) with a whole bunch of security guards all strategically placed to deliver knockout swings should their be the slightest questioning of his authority.

Not the best temperament to run an establishment that serves alcohol.

Best laugh I have had in a long time, somehow VIP and Nana just makes me laugh.

The first and last time I visited the Nana Disco would be around 20 years ago, lots of attractive friendly girls, I was one of only six or seven guys in there at the time, I left with a very pretty lady, always planned to return until I heard that it was now a grubby place, full of older girls,and that if you didn't watch your drink you were likely to be slipped a Mickey Finn should you invite one to join you in your hotel room. But on reading that it has now been refurbished maybe Its a good time to risk another look.

They refurbished the disco, not the ladies.

I heard it only stayed open for a short while as the dj went " off " right after opening.

I have been there many times when it was nana liquid and i would say the vibe is the biggest change, its modern, people partying not just lady hunting. So i thought it was pretty cool. Oh and i was there until after 5 had a cocktail with some staff and even the manager who didnt abuse me haha

Less trouble in the morning than a Thai Bar girl

I gave it a try Friday night, and it was grim. I was there from about 1:30-3:00.

A few more people filed into the place a little before 3, but I didn't have the patience to wait any longer to see if it would start happening.

I like the go-go dancing idea -- no go-go dancers like those in the Entertainment Plaza -- but the women were neither hot nor thrilled to be there, in my opinion.

The only women who turned my head -- other than the past-their-prime ladies who grabbed my arm as I walked by them -- was a hostess. She seemed to be in charge of checking on the "VIP" tables. She was on fire but kept the guys there at arm's length. "VIP" there consists of two U-shaped booths, each around a table.

Credit to those who remodeled the club, but I need to admire more than that to keep me there.
