The story says his friends house, no mention of a resort. You may be right the friend may own the resort.

How do they know that the dead guy was the swedish guy? Because he had the swedish guys passport in a pocket?

And his friend identified him?

And now the search for him for murder in Spain is over.

So my question is, how has the Thai police identified the guy that they found dead?

My guess is that they looked at his passport photo, then they looked at his face. Or vice versa.
