Pray for rain.,

Or find out why.

Are you on mains water

Do you have a storage tank...is the tank full

Do you have a pump

is the pump working.

You will have to tell us more.

if you mean mains water - there is none in the Tapae area either . We use well water so it doesn't really bother us. We have a couple of taps on the mains - both dry as a bone. My neighbour said since last night.

Maybe the whole city is dry?

Call your land lord

Or if in a moo bahn check with the management office. But neighbor check first to see if it is wide spread or you only.

As far as I can tell most of the city is out.... Ive had no water since last night either. Its effecting my business too.

First check the valve from the city line to make sure it is on and the meter is running. A little tot in our moo ban has figured out how to turn these off to the consternation of our neighbors. The bad news for us was that we got a 3000 baht water bill after turning our water back on. The tank had developed a crack due to sitting empty. Kind of interesting that the repair company had a little guy who was able to get down in the tank. He had to drain the rest of the tank and clean the dirt out of the tank that came in through the crack before fixing the crack itself.

i called the water company call center on my bill. they spoke english and said:

" sorry no water chiang mai. have water 18 clock. we sooo sorry"

so i hope its like she said that at 18 clock there is water again.

Lol They told me 1700.... Anyways, good signs, appears to be back on... although, just dripping quickly from my faucets, not enough to even fill a cup. Hopefully it will be back to full power in a few hours.

If you're going to live in Thailand you need to keep water available for the days when there is no water available (which is often). Every Thai home I have ever been to over the years has tanks of water, from primitive ceramic pots collecting rain water to huge plastic or ceramic tanks with pumps, filters, etc. It's just part of life here. We keep 50 gallons in one of the upstairs bathrooms and 50 gallons by the kitchen which is just enough water for 2-3 people to get through 1-2 days. when the city was installing the new water system 2 years ago, we were often without a drop of water for 3-4 days at a time. Fortunately we had stocked water and when we ran out, we had a water truck come by and top us up.

It will only get worse as the city expands without any regard to infrastructure. There will be many days of no water.
