PATTAYA:--A 32 Year old Burmese National was subjected to a necklace snatch on Sunday Afternoon as she rode on a Baht Bus back to her home in North Pattaya.

The incident occurred in front of Soi 16/2 on the Naklua Road just after 2pm and resulted in the temporary theft of a gold necklace and Buddhist Amulet from around the neck of Miss Ohnmar Yee. She later described how two men on a motorbike came up beside the Baht Bus, which stopped for a time due to traffic, and the passenger on the bike lent over and snatched the necklace before driving off down the Naklua Road.

The incident was witnessed by a Pattaya Police Volunteer who works as a motorbike taxi driver. Khun Komsan gave chase and followed the two assailants who realized they could not escape on their bike so decided to continue on foot and ran into a forest area close to the Aksorn School.
