Storage space in Cha Am or Hua Hin

Does anybody know of any secured space for rent that can be used for storage of personal belongings, something equivalent to a medium size room?

A 1 bedroom Thai style room should suit your needs, if you are not fussy about location/condition then you could probably get one for around 1500 a month

Do not know if there are any in Hua Hin. Know a few in Bangkok. Just be sure that you rent with insurance that covers water damage, theft, against rats, etc.

Security will be an issue as OP wont be there....not much call for secure storage in Thailand. BKK/Chonburi near the ports will be the only place

Same as anywhere if you are not going to be there, secure it well, don't let anybody around it know you won't be around for a while and it should be ok

Most of the small Thai places have one entrance only so will be easy enough to secure
