Thai Driving Licence

Featured Replies

I am returning to the UK next week.

I do not have an English licence other than a Provisional Driving Licence.

Is it possible to use this licence and receive a thai licence.

Or will I have to go through the full test procedures.

Thanks

If you have a UK driving licence I know you can go get a Thai licence quite easily.

I have a provisional driving licence, do you think I would be able to use this and not have to take the written test.

Thanks

You dont have a full UK license therefore, you can't get a Thai DL without taking the full Thai test, and if you have it in your head doing a Thai DL passing this getting this and using this to drive in the UK, the 1 year Thai license is a temporary one which you are not suppose to drive on outside of Thailand either

Interesting, I didn't know the 1 year Thai Licence was classed a temporary. I have used my Thai D/L, (5 year) to drive, even hire cars in the UK when visiting there.
