Tomatillos in BKK?

Recommended Posts

Tomatillos grow extremely well in northern Thailand. They are easy to take care of. All you have to do is buy some seeds and get started. The first year I grew them for I let my staff give the local farmers 2000 seeds and I ended up with truckloads of them. Tomatillos can also be used in spaghetti sauce as they tend to take the sweetness out of the Thai tomatoes. I grew the tomatillos for making green salsa that I sold commercially with other Mexican vegetable products for many years. As I am retired from the food business I will grow some in my cooperative vegetable gardens this year. I grow several farang liked vegetables in my cooperative gardens. Friends and others pick themselves and pay by the kg or bunch. A nice hobby.

Hello All, tomatillos, jals, serranos, anchos, habs, NuMex/Anaheim's and

epazote have grown very well here in Korat part of the year, about to start

plants for the new growing season.

Another TV member has posted pictures of his tomatillos grown in Surin.

If the OP finds them in BKK, please post info.
