06 months passport, touristic Visa

Featured Replies

Hi,

Im Algerian , so i need a touristic Visa to Thailand ,i want to go the 01 April 2014 to 16 April 2014 , but my passport will expire on 09 October 2014 , so more than 06 Months of date of departure but less than 06 months by the date of returen, is it possible ? shall i have problem with immigration there?

thanks for your kind help

anis

Your passport only has to be valid six months on date of arrival but if you should need to visit any country on return you could have problems with less then six month validity so I would plan to obtain new passport prior to getting Thai visa.

Thank you for your reply, but if i have well understand, I can obtain Thai touristic visa in this conditions but i could have problems with immigration on return cause the validity of my passport will be 05 months and 23 days, am I wright??

Thank you

You will not have a problem with Thailand but if you have to go to another country during your return trip there could be issues with less than six month validity - always best to never be traveling with less than 9 month validity on a passport.
