I think the stockbroker that got four years in jail for commenting on the King's health in 2009 was also jailed for this, wasn't he? Causing panic? In any case, it's not a new law. It's in the Computer Crimes Act that the coup government brought in. So PT's seems to be: 'We disagree with the coup and the constitution that came from the coup, but we're happy to use the draconian measures introduced by the coup government as long as it benefits us'. Of course, no one should ever, ever, suggest the military would step in and oust an elected government in Thailand. That's just putting false and confusing ideas into people's imaginations, and must be punished.

Also, I wonder if Jatuporn will face jail the next time he comes up with a spurious coup rumour? Or does it only work if you say it to your friends on Facebook, and not to a crowd of thousands which is being broadcast live on cable TV?

years,now its getting worse,they monitor our phone calls, emails,follow you on the street with the CCTV

Everybody should text Muhamud Jon Eddy of DTAC every minute night and day untill he realises unsolicited SMSs are not welcome.....Many American business estates in the old days used to have signs up preventing unsolicited callers and yet THIS American CEO doesn't give a toss about intruding on our private lives.......Oh of course we can go to an outlet to get them cancelleed...
