One in five Thai parlours offers ‘happy ending’

MALMOE: -- Every fifth Thai massage parlour in Malmö, southern Sweden, accepts requests for sexual gratification at the end of a session, a Swedish newspaper reported on Thursday

The news comes following the Sydsvenskan newspaper’s probe into illegal prostitution among the Thai massage parlours in Malmö, Sweden’s third largest city. Local police receive “several tip-offs a week” but do not prioritize the matter, they told the paper.

Of the 25 parlours called in the survey, five offered a “happy ending”. There are around 50 parlours in the city. On Wednesday, one Thai worker spoke out about her frustration at being constantly asked about sex by the customers to the paper, The Local reports.

“I am so angry when people ask me about ‘happy ending’. I work hard and I’m proud of my profession,” Pornpinum Meejaii said.

But this was evidently not the case throughout the other centres around Malmö.

“We can do happy, happy endings. Come in and see,” one masseuse told the paper, but refused to discuss on the phone how much it would cost.

On different online fora, customers share information about the best places in the city, with one stating that a 30-minute massage with a happy ending set him back 700 kronor ($107).

When the newspaper Sydsvenskan visited the parlours, each of the staff workers denied that they ever offered sex.

Thats what happens when you let too many foreigners come to Thailand. They want a little bit of Thailand when they are at home too ! Don't see many Swedes in Phuket now. The wives probably don't want to go, especially after reading this article. Also why are there Thai massage girls there ? Surely they cant all like the crappy weather and winter sports.

Same thing here costs what...$10? Ten times the price in Sweden...that's some incentive to put up with inclement weather.

I also know a place where 6 out of 5 offer the same services.LOL!

Ever been to Malmo? It's boring. You can go there easily on the ferry from Copenhagen but you'll soon want to go back.

While chatting to a Swedish woman in Thailand once, when I asked where she was from, she replied "Malmo, it's very boring".

The Malmoites need all the entertainment they can get.

When I was a lot younger, you could get a very happy ending by taking a good bottle of whiskey to the bar when you docked in Sweden
