Today I'm going to have fun submitting 90 day reports for Hubby and me at CM Immigration. He received a new passport about four months ago and already transferred his visa to the new passport. Immigration simply removed and restapled his old departure card into his new passport. His old passport number is written on that arrival card, of course, since that was his passport number when he arrived.

So, which passport number is entered in the line on TM 47 requesting passport number? I'm wondering because the form asks for passport number right after entry date, how you entered and right before arrival card no.

Fortunately, I have his old passport and am taking both to "The Happiest Place in Chiang Mai" today. But, it could be a hassle to bring all your old passports, say, 40 years down the road if someone never leaves Thailand.

New passport number should be used.
