Nattawut: UDD open to opportunity to join political reform council

UDD open to opportunity to join political forum

BANGKOK, 14 August 2013 (NNT) - Deputy Commerce Minister Nattawut Saikua has remarked that the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) would be happy to join talks organized by the political reform council if invited.

Mr. Nattawut stated that UDD members would welcome the invitation from the government to take part in political reform discussions, particularly the forum entitled ‘Uniting for the Future: Learning from Each Other’s Experiences’.

Mr. Nattawut also said he is not surprised that the Opposition Democrat Party refused to join the forum, saying that the party has never cooperated with the government. Despite the Democrat’s absence, he is adamant that the forum will be able to proceed as there will be other knowledgeable and experienced individuals participating in the event.

Meanwhile, the deputy minister expressed his confidence that the amnesty bill will again receive the green light during the House’s second and third readings without any difficulty.

Anybody participating in this reform forum would be dancing with the devil, its all in the small print, their word cannot be believed ,turning about face when it suits them, the PTP is what it's all about and no one else, how to stay in power at all costs.bah.gif

IN Channel has just announced that Tony Blair will join the forum. The hot air will be enough to fill a fleet of blimps

I can see his contribution now; Bring small containers of gasoline, burn your government buildings, i'll take responsibility.

And that he will be given amnesty along with all the others who are either in jail or on bail for committing crimes during the red riots.

Why do I doubt that the UDD has similar reforms in mind as posters on this forum?

Why do I doubt that the UDD has similar reforms in mind as posters on this forum?

Because they represent a large proportion of the Thai people rather than a few embittered not very well educated foreign reactionaries with too much time on their hands?

There will be chimpanzes at this tea party for sure.

Sponsored by PG Tips no doubt.

I can picture Blair chewing his banana - he'll probably turn up in a red shirt.

"Mr. Nattawut stated that UDD members would welcome the invitation from the government to take part in political reform discussions, particularly the forum entitled Uniting for the Future: Learning from Each Others Experiences."

They will of course be able to show how to occupy city centres, fire weapons into civilians to cause terror, invade hospitals, burn down the buildings of people they don't like, intimidate political opponents and judges through violence, avoid all responsibility for your actions but instead blame the army because your attempt to remove a government through violence forced them to restore order and prevent any one you dislike from speaking on your turf once you are in power. They may also set up a sub committee called " what we say goes and we will hurt anyone who says different". AKA " A thugs guide to achieving and maintaining power through violence and intimidation".

You forgot the proto-fascists.

Would that proportion of the Thai populace that they represent be those they lied to about the legitimacy of the previous government, encouraged to carry out criminal acts on the basis of those lies, and then labelled that government as murderers for suppressing that insurrection? Just how legitimate is a government who used lies as a basis for much of their election campaign? And then paid off their criminal propagandists with MP positions, and a promise of amnesty, which k. Nattawhut is so desperately seeking before he is jailed for a looong period.

Yes they do represent a large proportion of the population.

The strange part is they represent the uneducated part of it.

Why is education not high on their agenda?

If it is on it at all.

I think you are being overly kind to them.

You forgot to mention they will be able to show how to set up schools teaching Democracy and giving Guns and gas in containers to use in Arson for graduation presents.

To their graduates

Er no, the protofascists are the street mob extremists (Dr Tui etc) supporting the old order - nothing to do with the UDD or forum members.

Your other sentence is just an incoherent rant, so no need to respond.

Don't know whether to laugh or cry when somebody claims to be so well educated as to know the molecular structures and formation of lignin, cellulose and other trace elements but lack the nouse to conclude that the tall woody thing they are looking at is not a bicycle but in fact a tree.

You confuse lack of need with lack of ability, when confronted with inconvenient facts. If you feel the "need" take your time and point which individual part of that paragraph is less than factual.

I only mentioned protofascists as it is unusual for you not to throw in the term when condescending to we "not very well educated foreign reactionaries with too much time on their hands".
