Shipping with Cargo

Featured Replies

I am thinking to buy a 8,000 baht art/replica and ship it to the US. I estimate that the Cargo initial shipping cost can be around 4000 baht. What about taxs, legal papers and others? Can someone estimate the final cost?

How big, how heavy, where is it being picked up, where is it going in the US and how do you plan to ship it, air or sea?

If you are talking sea freight, local delivery in the US will be at least $100.

Can't help with the Shipping Cost but be careful if the item can be classed as a Religious Artefact - original or a replica (and this does not just apply to actual Buddha image).

If so you will need approval from the Fine Arts Department.

Around 8 Kilos, 70x30x40cm, i think sea is the cheapest way.

Sea would be way too expensive , its only cheap for big quantities

Only way to ship this is by door to door (UPS , Fedex , DHL , TNT)

They will talke care of all the paperwork. You will just have to put a value on it and

they do the rest.

Probably will cost about 3.500 Baht + 20 $ customs clearance + import duty

it seems that time is changing and rules are tightening up seriously. Any one experiencing recent household removal including Buddha images or other Thai "antiquities" out of Thailand?
