ByblosYuNaiSoi
Hi, I am moving to Sathon, Bangkok next month, and am looking for suggestions for buying basic, inexpensive kitchen gear: plastic mixing and salad bowls, lime squeezer, cutlery, electric immersion blender, countertop convection / toaster oven, etc. Also, I have read earlier posts about buying fresh-ground coffee, but would welcome any new ideas. Starbucks is ok, but local is preferred. I need to have them grind it when I buy it. Thanks very much, Paul
lomatopo
Any department store should have the items you need. Any supermarket will have (pre-) ground coffee.
Bpuumike
IKEA probably, otherwise The Mall in Ramkamphaeng has everything. Edited August 16, 2013 by Bpuumike
ByblosYuNaiSoi
Thanks to you both - I guess I am really wondering where locals go for cheap kitchen gear, the deeply discounted places if anybody knows. Electric stuff would of course have to be in more up market place.
xen
Try the 25 baht stalls in the Big C foyers for your cheap plastic bowls etc or just go to a local market at evening and see what you can find.
