The police said no ransom was paid for the release.

The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the release of four Thai nationals, abducted on August 9 at Buguma in the Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers

The Public Relations Officer of the command, Angela Agabe, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Port Harcourt that the Thai nationals were freed in the early hours of Saturday.

I can confirm to you that the four Thai nationals regained their freedom at 2.00 a.m. on August 17.

Detectives from the command put pressure on the abductors and they released the victims in a mangrove early today.

No ransom was paid for the release of the Thai nationals and they are in stable condition, she said.

The Rivers Commissioner for Agriculture, Emmanuel Chinda, also told NAN that the Thai citizens were already in Port Harcourt for medical attention.

He said that the four men were working for the Rivers State Government-owned Buguma Fish Farm, a project he said, was put in place to help the government earn more revenue and create employment for the people.

Time to check their work permit.

With the number of israeli and hezebollah businesses in the Nigeria, we may one day a golan height standoff.

Just kidding,

You can not get blood out of a stone, although HMRC will!

A fish farm down that way,,,, hmmmm...,, I would have thought the recently tested location where the oil spill here in LOS occurred would have been a much safer bet for a fish farm
