barrybankruad
Is anyone currently breeding turkeys? What sort of a success rate do you have? I've been trying for years and the mortality rate for my birds is way too high. Yesterday I lost 3 chicks, I'm not sure but it was probably due to snakes or hawks. Despite them being well fed, inoculated etc. too many just die. Add to that the large stags killing the young hens when they try to mount them. Is it a wise idea to try and raise what is basically a temperate climate bird in a tropical country? Any advice appreciated.
