Hello I hope somebody can provide help here. I am a British citizen married to a Thai girl and I have recently (3 weeks ago) applied to Udonthani Immigration for my fourth extension of stay based on marriage. We have a house in Udonthani which is now rented out in my wifes name until the end of this year. I have a yellow house book also permission to stay in the house for the rest of my life. The reason the house is rented out is that we both work in Bangkok and have done so since June 2012. At the end of this year we intend to use our house in Udonthani for a long weekend every month. Since June 2012 we have traveled to Udonthani for the 90 day reports, obtaining re-entry permits and for marriage visa extension applications. My question is should we inform Udonthani Immigration about this also should we be using an Immigration Office in Bangkok instead. I don't like the idea of possibly having to use the Bangkok immigration as I don't want to have to change my address in the yellow house book, etc. Is there anybody in a similar situation and what is the correct way to deal with this. Many thanks in advance for any advice.

It is not uncommen that a person lives at another place then where they are officially registered. (But I don't know how immigration regards that in combination with a yellow household registration).

Normally you just apply at the immigration office for the area where you actually live, with proof of adress such as a renatl contract that shows the real address as the adress determines the office that you should apply to.

Changing address will not affect yellow house book it same for you as a Thai's blue book.

Be sure you have a proper rental contract with copies of owners ID and house book. Immigration

has gotten picky about them.
