Kittiratt: Baht depreciation will benefit export

Featured Replies

Every time Kittirat opens his mouth I am taken aback by his lack of knowledge bordering on complete ignorance.

The only people on this planet that agree with the rice policy are either PTP, red shirts or direct beneficiaries.

Thailand will do fine until multinational companies relocate their factories to the next country to be exploited. Like many countries in Africa.

The garment industry, the bottom-feeders in our global economy, are already moving from Thailand to Myanmar. A worker in a garment factory in Yangon makes about US$42.00 a month with overtime. It doesn't take long to do the math on this one!

This is the truth. Economics are global in nature, and anyone seeking to understand what is going on has to get his head out of the Thailand bubble and look at what is going on the the world, BRIC countries like Brazil and India are seeing their currencies losing value against the dollar, and now the US is preparing for a very dangerous war in the Middle East, which will also strengthen the dollar ( while hopefully not leading to World War III. Thailand is a small player in this game, so time to stop playing the blame game. Instead, better to buckle up, because its going to be a bumpy ride, as Bette Davis said so memorably in All About Eve!

When Baht are strong they never reduce the FT in electric bills , now the Baht weaker want to increse the FT because reason given have to import diesel.

This is not fair to consumer like us?
