Tourist Visa - Enter Before Date

Featured Replies

Hi, I recently extended by tourist visa by 30 days at immigration and the stamp in my passport allows me to stay until the 28th August 2013. However, my double tourist visa states I must enter before the 28th August 2013. Does this 'enter before' include the 28th?

Thanks

Yes. Both entries must be made on the 28th the latest. Once entered you can stay till the date you are allowed to stay and also extend by 30 days despite the fact that the visa itself has expired.

Always best t go a day early, in case you get sick, the car breaks down etc.

Hi, I am going to Bkk tonight, get a van in the morning of the 28th to Cambodia and then re-entering on the 28th. I can't go before then, due to unforeseen circumstances! Therefore will I still trigger the additional 60 days on my next visa?

Yes, no problems. And as said, at the end you can get another 30 day extension.

thanks for that! I can't understand why they use the term 'enter before', rather than expires, or 'on or before'.

Anyway thanks again

A bad English translation. In the past there were some issues with it, but now the consensus is that the 28 is also allowed.
