The scene in the living quarters of the whisky shop that confronted owner Mrs Saengjan after the burglary.

PHUKET: -- Burglars broke into three shops in Baan Lipon, Srisoonthorn, yesterday (August 27), trashing them and stealing cash and a pick-up truck, which they then loaded with B80,000 worth of booze and cigarettes.

The Phang Nga-registered white Toyota pick-up truck, license plate Bor-Chor 762, belonged to Saengjan Thepnarong, owner of Ban Pon Whisky Shop, from which the alcohol and tobacco were also stolen.

The burglars also ransacked a neighbouring construction materials shop and a third shop nearby, apparently looking for cash.

Ms Saengjan said she thought that at least two people must have been involved, and they seemed to know well how to get into her shop. For their raid they chose a time when no one was in, suggesting they had been keeping a watch on the place.

Phuket News is running out of news, so have to report now every burgalary!wai2.gif

Or, crime is the only thing happening on Phuket to report. smile.pngsmile.png

Well, there was the fictional report about the fictional Inspector Mai-kao-jai investigating a fictional death back in 1870. The Thai Visa forensic team and resident Thai bashers seemed to find that quite exciting, so possible the Phuket news sources feel the bar is set pretty low on what qualifies as "attention grabbing" and news worthy.

What sort of feral does not have atleast a fitted sheet on their bed ?

Maybe they used the sheet to carry off all of those cigs and booze.
