Just to clarify, since I will also be doing this soon - does this mean you must apply within the last 30 days of the active entry stamp, or before the last 30 days?

Also, on a related note, if the Visa has expired (ie, you entered and received a 90 day stamp on the last day of the visa validity) does this matter?

You apply during the final 30 days of your permission to stay

    Only the permit to stay date date that you got on entry matters. The visa expiration date means nothing.
