Savanakhet OK for double entry Tourist Visa?

Featured Replies

I expect to separate from my Thai wife soon but need a few more months to sort out my future. So looking for another 6 months here afterwards? Savannakhet seems to be the recommended place to obtain a suitable TR Visa.

Am I correct?

Yes, Svanakhet or Vientiane will issue a double entry tourist visa.

You could even apply for a new multiple non-O visa at Savanakhet just before the divorce if your wife is willing to help you. Then you don't need to leave the country the day of your divorce, as you would be on a 90 day entry.

OK, what does she need to do to help? We still talk to each other normally.

You need a copy and original of the wedding certificate, a signed copy of hr ID-card and household registration book and maybe a small note asking for a visa for you. Based on that Savanakhet should issue you with a multiple non-O visa, valid for 1 year and unlimited 90 day entries during that your.

Many thanks for that clarification. I have the other copies already and can show suitable Bank details.
