September 6, 201312 yr for a new device so it lasts the longest? it worked for me years ago and if it still works it is well worth
September 7, 201312 yr True, they reckon the new batteries don't require it.......but, it can't hurt. I fully charge and then drain as quickly as possible to flat 3 consecutive times. Fully charge again and use normally. On my laptop I use mains the majority of the time, but make sure that I use battery 3 or 4 times a week and drain to within 10% of flat before recharging to full. It's 3 years old and the battery is still good for 2 hours on a full charge.
September 7, 201312 yr The whole concept goes back to the previous technology Nicad batteries which suffer from "Memory" Lithium batteries and Smart charging from the device and chargers - forget it you will achieve nothing apart from waste several hours of your time
