Obviously had the wrong combination of amulets as the perps weren't struck down dead upon touching them!

Popular Post Chupup
Seems to me he was just asking to get mugged, there are a lot of poor people about in Thailand and flaunting a 10 baht weight gold necklace is a bit silly to say the least.

monkey4u
Our next door neighbour here in Cha Am was always parading around with 8 gold rings and numerous necklaces till she got robbed. Now she cries its not fair she has no gold ( or brains ) No doubt she and the cops father will get more gold soon and once more prance about showing everyone how rich they are. klauskunkel
Not to worry Dad, your son will get you a new gold necklace, this time with anti-snatching amulet power, paid for by his discretionary funds...

Dararasmi
I'm guessing none of the mystical magical amulets were the "protection from theft" type.

little mary sunshine
So rude to flaunt this type of wealth in front of so many poor people. Why would anyone take such an expensive piece of jewelry to the beach.., just to show off???? My 99 baht watch goes with me to the beach. !!! Hogwash! A person should have the right to walk safely in public without being accosted, no matter what their wealth. Attitudes by poor people stating that they do not have this right is a reflection upon the person making this statement, not the person doing nothing wrong, and just continues the current problems. What a stupid statement.

Don't misunderstand, he will probably get it back since BIB might already know the thieves, this was a planned robbery and not just a drive by theft. Xonax
Just Bad Karma. The 300,000 Baht Gold Necklace had probably been paid, with money collected from motorcyclists without helmets and car drivers and passengers without a fastened seatbelt. Someone should check, how this family has become so wealthy, that they can afford 300,000 Baht Gold Necklaces and suites at The Royal Cliff! Does anyone know, how much the official salary of a senior police officer is in Thailand? Edited September 9, 2013 by Xonax
Fullstop
He's stupid enough to believe that amulets work ... I guess it explains his further stupidity of walking around with 300,000 Baht wrapped around his neck. No pity from me.

What a stupid statement. You're absolutely correct. Maybe strap on your own 10 Baht gold necklace and go for a stroll through Jomtien. That'll show everyone.
