watcharacters Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 I was frustrated Saturday when a tried many times to make a reservation with www.qatarairways.com and got no further than an error message I did click on the guest link so i thought my booking would work without joining their frequent flyer program. I called today, Monday, and learned from them that Internet Explorer is the only browser they support. After all these years, I have trouble understanding how a company could not support IOS at some platform. I ended up using the PC of the Missus to make the reservations.
tominbkk Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 These days it's pretty rare..they must really be using ancient software to make their site.
watcharacters Posted September 9, 2013 Author Posted September 9, 2013 These days it's pretty rare..they must really be using ancient software to make their site. . I used to have the same problem with EVA but at least they advised about the situation on their purchase page. Strangely, however, several times the purchase went through OK even while using the Safari browser. Today I ended up using the Missus' PC and all was fine but I would have preferred using the Mac. I hope Qatar does better with it's flight services than with the reservation system. First time we use this airline.
