Dependent visa.

Featured Replies

I'm Vietnamese. I'm a volunteer for WFH foundation at Chiangmai 3 years and get Non-O visa with Work permit. 2 years ago, my husband got ED visa 1 years and after that he come back Vietnam. Now he want to come and stay with me at CM, he pay for Pro-language school for study Thai 1 year. But the Thai embassy at VN say No, because they said the Vietnamese people come and work at Thai a lot. I feel unhappy. Now my husband can get dependent visa from my Work permit? Please help me. Thanks so much.

If you are on a 1 year extension of stay from immigration based on your volunteering, and do not have to leave the country every 90 days, your spouse can apply for a non-O visa and when in Thailand can apply for 1 year extension of stay as your dependent.

But the problem seems to be with the Thai embassy in Vietnam not wanting to issue a visa to him. He could try to apply for a non-O visa in a neighboring county, with copy of your passport and work permit and letter from the foundation.

My question is do you have a visa and having to leave the country every 90 days or are you on an extension of stay making reports to immigration every 90 days?

If you are one extensions your husband can get an extension of stay as your dependent. He would first need to apply for a single entry non-o visa.

Thank you for helping.

I am on a 1 year extension of stay from immigration , It's mean my husband can get Non-o visa.

What you mean "letter from the foundation"?

I need 1 lawyer to help do that?

How do you thinks, If he can go to Malaysia for apply the ED visa? Will same with Thai embassy at Vietnam or not? Because the Pro-language school not return the fee school for me..huhu

Letter requesting his visa and confirming your work with them. It should include his passport number.

No need for a lawyer.

Yes, he can try the ED-visa in Laos or Malaysia. But no need to travel there. Try to get the non-O visa first in Vietnam. As a dependent he can still study at the school, he doesn't need to have an ED-visa for that, so if he succeeds he can save the trip to another country before coming to Thailand.
