Lamai guesthouse -- I need a recommendation

Recommended Posts

I have a last minute opportunity to come to Ko Samui -- Lamai -- in two days. I live in Chiang Mai. Can anyone recommend a guesthouse? I prefer a quiet place to sleep and it doesn't matter if I have to walk a bit to get to the main attractions for dining/drinking. I will have no car and will not rent a motorbike.

I prefer Lamai but I haven't been there for five years. As I may stay for 14 days I prefer to spend maximum 700 baht per night for accomodation.

Thanks!

Gilda's is nice, but way too far from the town centre to get to without motorised transportation.

There are literally dozens of places in Lamai centre that will be suitable - but your post isn't really very specific as to what you want. Magic Resort, Seabreeze Bungalows, Best Resort, Holiday Park are some pretty cheap places.

Seabreeze Bungalows

Seabreeze Bungalows:

I stayed there about 4 months ago. Cheapest room at Bt500 with air.

Can cross the street and use their pool anytime.

Not too far from town center for a good walk but far enough to sleep good at night.

Right on the beach.

Recommended by me, Mr. Pug.
