patekatek Posted September 13, 2013 Share Posted September 13, 2013 I found this fellow today partially buried in some grass by the edge of my deck. I believe it is a tarantula but someone said it may be a species of the wolf spider. Any professional opinions? Non-pro opinions are welcome too. I did not kill it but let it go in the brush away from the house. The one photo is of the spider concealed in the grass. I assume some sort of ambush position.
