I went to the Thai Embassy in Manama, Bahrain today for what i thought would be a simple re-issue of my non-O marriage visa which I've had for 8 years. Took with me all the usual copies of the licence, ID card, passport etc... I was told that as well as 800,000 baht in a Thai bank with monthly statements I also needed to produce a letter from the police letter showing no criminal record and a medical cert confirming I did not have various comminicable diseases!
