Sirius1935
I renewed both my driving licences today and after leaving the counter I noticed that they have an expiry date of todays date in 2562. Does anyone know if six years is the new rule or did they make a mistake?
Soutpeel
Nope that's possibly correct all to do with when your birthday falls relative to you renewal date, it will not be exactly 6 years validity but very close
Don Mega
Normally they renew to your birthday in 5 years time.... if you had a birthday yesterday and renewed today it will be 6 years till your next renewal.

seajae
my renewal is just 2 months shy of 6 years because I got it 2 months after my birthday, it goes to the birthday after the renewal date so it can add up to 1 year onto it.
Sirius1935
Thanks for the replies. My birthday is in mid May and my license renewal is for six years to the day, 13 September 2562. It seems that they did make a mistake, in my favour.
DJH77
Be happy and accept what you get. Believe it or not mine is for 12 years. My wife said the girl who did it was a school friend of hers and i'm not complaining.
Bagwan
When I applied for my driving licence renewal some years ago a sweet young thing said that I qualified for a 5 year licence. She then told me that she was 23 years old, had never had a baby, had her own apartment and lived only a half a mile away from me. I smiled and told her that I would keep all that in mind and that maybe we could talk the following day when I picked up my licence. As I left the building and walked across the car park hand in hand with my wife she was looking out of the window at us. Thoughts of bonking her when she was wearing her Civil Service uniform immediately disappeared. The following day she had a face like a smacked ass when I collected the licence. All I could do was to shrug my shoulders.
