Load Skype on your mobile and purchase the monthly plan for 10.49 euros unlimited minutes to Thai land lines and cell numbers.

Cell to cell I believe you're at the mercy of your provider and their rates - could be wrong.

You would be nuts phoning international mobile to mobile unless it was a short conversation

As to the other bit if your dialing a mobile in Thailand

+ 66 drop the 0 and then the thai mobile number...81 or 84 or 89 etc

You could try Lyca mobile Holland, direct dial to Thailand and rates are not extortionate, If the same as the UK your phone needs to be unlocked for the sim card to work, sim cards are normally free, I've just been in Portugal and the sim card was free and also I got a free 5 euro after topping up 10 euro.... I subscribe to Skype Unlimited World annual subscription at £105 on behalf of my wife. Calls from UK landline and/or mobile to Thai landline and/or mobile.

On my second annual subscription as it is the best deal out there in my opinion.

We've tried the rest and the Skype call quality, reliability and value are at another level. Only wish I'd found it sooner.

Use fring a skype clone using smartphones and wifi or buy discount sim card like those prepaid from lebara from holland that are much cheaper then the other networks for international calls
