johnnort
Hello, I have lived in Thailand for a number years on an O visa but for the last two years it was necessary for me to return to Europe. I am now ready to return to the LOS and am aware that any visa I had before has now expired and that I need to start the process from the beginning. I satisfy all the requirements for obtaining another O visa , but can I apply for this O at my local Immigration Office, namely Mabtaphut, after arriving with either a visa on arrival stamp or single entry tourist visa? If not what is the minimum visa I require before entry? I should know the answer to this with the amount of time that I have lived in Thailand but it just escapes me. Getting too old! lopburi3
Only if you will have paperwork to one year extension of stay with 15 days or more remaking on permitted stay and depending on extension reason may require visa conversion at Bangkok. ubonjoe
It would be better to try and get a single entry non-o visa from one of the honorary consulates in Europe.
