I was very impressed with the spirit in which they played. Make a mistake? Give a smile and get on with the game - thought that was impressive.

Onuma was a perfect example; one time she slipped and lost a point - just got up, gave a smile to the others and that was it, no tantrums or scowls. Same as when she messed up a shot. And the glee when they won a point!

Have to say that the Japanese girls, although being well beaten eventually, still managed to praise their colleagues when they won a point.

Nice to be able to watch a sports event being played sportingly!

Maybe not a great omen for Japan after recently winning the Olympic bid.

Congratulations to the Thai team. A well-deserved victory!

Congratulations to the Women's volleyball team.

I watched the 2 games against Japan and the game against China.

What impressed me most is the spirit in which they played. Always smiling, never giving in and great teamwork and leadership.

I was very proud of them.
