So, ...he says he will help. What the Hell! Might as well throw another wet log on the fire and see if we can get any heat.

It's not as if anyone is expecting any change out of all this banter.

What this old fool was quoted as saying yesterday about 7 days also included a comment to the effect " IF there's no more rain " which is ridiculous at the best of times in the rainy season and beyond words when the tropical storm hadn't yet crossed into Thailand.

Why are Thai officials obsessed with putting a timeframe, usually unrealistic, on everything ? It may be designed to make them look decisive and efficient but only serves to make them bigger fools than usual when the time set isn't met.

They just can't help it . . . they HAVE to say something "positive" even when the rest of the world knows they are talking out of their ass.

" they are talking out of their ass"

To say that is to cast aspersions on donkeys everywhere!

Ah, apologies. I didn't mean to cast aspersions on donkey's and ass's worldwide.

All dissolved in 7 days what a joke.
Two years after the great flood, there appears still not working.
Much money is gone and with what result almost zero.
If after 7 days the rain has not stopped then the spirits done it again.
Just continue to fill bags and stupid talk.
The same occurs in the construction of roads, they use half the budget and the other half disappears and the result is that the roads are rutted complete again within one year.

the whole country can flood for several months

we have millions or rice in all the warehouses

don't we ... if it is eatable, that is another question

maybe they can use ricebags in stead of sandbags, to absord all the floodwater

Getting down and dirty with the locals: FAIL

Wearing boots while all the locals are barefoot, does not make good PR. Smacks of insincerity.

The crisis will be solved if the supreme being does what Banharn wants and when Banharn's construction company gets tens of millions of dollars to do the work what it should have done long ago when they got all the other orders in baharnburi.

The fact that he is knee deep in water, I am amazed he has the balls to say such stupid things... You have to give him credit for that :)

I dont get it Mega projects full the Economies So why not create a true flood project that will protect everyone If this was the west it would be solved within a few years

This looks like the government here wants to use the current infrastructure which have been proven to be flawed.

If you can spend hundreds of millions of Tablets for kids which are proving ineffective then the that money would be better spent on Canals

Why doesn't the Thai government get it whistling.gif

The former Prime Minister also offered to take care of the situation instead of the Prime Minister, as she is busy with other issues.

That's right, she has travel plans...

Who made him the weather god?

Answer: The same person who appointed Chalerm and Plod to power positions. "You can judge a person by his/her friends" Anon. Whether the Shinawatres picked the old toad from a tarot reading, or other reasons, only they will know. But it does work to take some of the focus off of 'Mr. Screw-propeller' Plod. Perhaps Plod is out looking for more tigers to sell to the Chinese - for meat and ground up penis bones.

Mr Natural says: You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friend's nose.'

"BANGKOK: -- Former Prime Minister Banharn Silpa-Acha told reporters he is expecting the flood crisis that has been inundating over a quarter of Thailand′s provinces to be solved within 7 days."

Did not Yingluck inform him that every thing was under control. There was no crisis. If it gets bad she will just order the sea to roll back as it was done in the bible.

OK now I will go read the article as it is probably a Nation article and liable to be talking about some thing else besides the head lines.

Could someone please explain how diverting water into two rivers (Prachinburi River and Bang Pakong River) is going to solv a national problem? Am I missing something important here?

Even if he thought the path of flood water was less than 7 days from the north to the sea, the 7 day prediction for 'crisis over' was outdated before it left his lips....................wink.png

The sad part is the people will not remember. the Government will fill there head's full of fantasies to the point where they don't realize it is all BS.

Why is Mr B suddenly at the forefront of this or does he want to ensure his own fiefdom wont be flooded.

I thought this was his little fiefdom.

He is just there to make sure the subjects remember it. He cares so much that he even brought her majesty with him to see how hard up his loyal subjects are. If you doubt my word just ask one of his subjects.

Here in Chiang Mai I found myself standing in 3 feet of water smiling. Of course we are civilized here in Chiang Mai and do not let the water hang around that long.

They're flooded and standing in abo. 8 inches of water ...

So why the he*l is everybody smiling xblink.png.pagespeed.ic.AQgCnSOpp_.png alt=blink.png width=20 height=20>

No I think Mr. Plob made one silly suggestion too many and her highness cried: "off with his head"...!

So Mr. B therefore seems to be of the opinion that he now qualifies for the position of Minister of Silly Suggestions.

Some one had to replace Jutuporn and he was handy.

Wow, your just a smart as Barn-harm and Yingluck. You must be very proud.

Were you trying to refer to Barnum and Bailey the circus duo?

Some how there is some sense in that some where.
