Showing onward travel on entry

Featured Replies

My GF (Mauritian) will get a 15 day stay on entry to Bkk Swampy. Sometimes they ask for proof of onward travel. This time we are taking the bus to Siam Reap.

Any one have any ideas as to whether she will be allowed in or do we need airline tickets. We could show hotel bookings but clearly we will only get the tickers once we are in Bkk.

Our total stay in Asia this time (she has been here 4 times) will be 2 months so our flight back to Ireland is in Feb.

We can get a triple entry visa from the consul hnere but this costs 105 euro....or B4,500.

Thanks in advance.

I assume that is Mauritius. She will be getting a visa on arrival and one of the requirements is a onward ticket.

A visa on arrival is not available at any boarder crossing for return to Thailand from Cambodia.

Thanks Joe.....so, hotel bookings and getting a bus ticket in Bkk is not an option?

Yes thanks we know about the VOA on the borders.

They sure don't make it easy to come and spend money!

She could get a tourist visa before traveling. A ticket out would not be required that way.

Also she probably would not be allowed on her fight without a ticket out within 15 days.

Info for the honorary Thai consulate there http://www.embassypages.com/missions/embassy15076/

Thanks again.

She lives with me here in Ireland and has a full residency permit. She will be entitled to an Irish passport next year which will take away this hassle

We are now going with the triple entry visa issued by the Thai consul here in Dublin. We will be travelling together.
