Will BKK Immigration Office issue residency certificate?

Featured Replies

That is essentially the question. When I lived in Chiang Mai, Immigration offered this for a while for 500 baht but then recently was telling everyone they needed to go to their consulates...

This is needed to buy a motorbike and some other administrative tasks...

Anyone gotten a Certificate of Residency at Bangkok Immigration recently?

Thanks!

They will only do them if you are making 90 day reports. And you must of made at least one report to them.

If you are lucky enough to reside in Mae Sai ,C Rai area they did mine 200 bahts 5 minutes the other day and it was not a reporting date.

They will DO IT after you have done a 90 day report ! For buying a motorbike !

As usual photocopies of everything ! ! ! in your Passport , also Departure card ,

Will cost 200 BHT AND YOU WILL HAVE IT BY POST WITHIN 3 WEEKS ! ! ! They will check that you really live where you said you live ....

It is counter J .

As for other administrative tasks ? ? ?

They ONLY do it for The Thai Driving Permit and buying car / motorbike . call IMMIGRATION and ask . 0-2141-9889 0r 1178 or 1111 . -
