Hi all,

I know the green book is important to have as it shows you are the owner of the bike and without it are unable to get it taxed or insured etc.

My question however is how important is it to have it in your name, the thing is my friend has left Thailand and isn't Coming back and he has left his bike with green book in his name which he says I can have. The bike is taxed and insured for another year but I was wondering if the BIB really care if it's in my name or not if they stop me?

Its not going to be possible to get my friend to sign a power of attorney either so I take it its impossible to change it to my name? Also if it stays in my friends name are there any other problems that I could encounter because it's not in my name?

Thanks in advance
