Recommendation for cheap android phone

Featured Replies

Appreiciate recommendations for a cheap android phone - say 6000 baht or under. I don't require internet but I'm told they all come with that regardless. Main use will be making calls, taking pictures and mp 3 for music with plenty of storage. Have looked in Tukcom but get confused by the large amount of phones on display.

If phone, camera and MP3 player is all you need you probably don't need an Android phone. You can keep all your MP3's on an SD card and just buy a regular old-style phone - the cheapest one you can find with a half decent camera.

I just bought a imobile 5.3, abandoned my Samsong S4 and Samsong 8 note (both copies) not worth the B3000 each I paid, Paid B5990 for I mobile at Big C extra, 3000 ma battery, lasts for 2 days, 2 regular size sim chips, large screen quad core, great little machine.

I agree that an Android phone may well be over the top for the OP's needs.

But Tukcom currently has (real) Samsung Hero for 399B and an (also real) Android Samsung for 5990B.

You can get the Samsung Fame for under 5500, it has 5MP camera. Standard headphone jack 3.5mm. I don't have it yet but will. I don't use internet on a phone but you never know when it might come in handy..

You may want to look into the Nokia Asha series, though they don;t run android.

New models were released this week and I think they go for about 3000 baht.

Lenovo are doing some decent phones. Also Huwaei

Just a 1000 or 1500 or so over your budget, you can get one of the iq mobile models, I have the iqx with 18mp camera but I think they do other models too with the 18mp camera, you can add a memory card for additional storage
