Hello All,

First and foremost, if the following question is not allowed to be asked here the please remove and accpet my apology.

I am overnighting @ the Double Tree JFK hotel, (not my choice) this coming Saturday, does any one know if anything is close by.. walkable.. like a pub or does everything close down in the area.

Sorry i am totally unfamiliar with NYC Jamaica area and yes i googled it but the pages keep dropping out..

Can't really help, but did spend one night nearby several years ago. Not the best neighborhood. You might try trip advisor to see what is nearby?

I think that hotel stopped being a Doubletree a day or so ago, though they they will honour bookings.

As Craig says, not the best of areas, I would be inclined to stay on site.
