PATTAYA:--A Senior Local Government Official reported a Gold Necklace Snatch which occurred outside of his Barbers Shop in Banglamung on Friday afternoon.

Khun Somshai aged 62 is the Chief Inspector of Villages in Banglamung District and owns a Barbers Shop in Soi Banglamung 23 on the Northern outskirts of Pattaya City. He parks his vehicle on the opposite side of the street and went to get something from the front passenger seat after leaving his shop.

A motorbike was approaching which forced Khun Somshai to stop in the road while the bike drove past him. Instead the bike slowed and the driver leant over and grabbed Khun Somshai’s 3-Baht weighted Gold necklace with Buddhist amulet worth an estimated 70,000 Baht.

Khun Somshai, due to his position in local government, is permitted to carry a holstered firearm, and drew his 38 caliber pistol and fired 3 times in the direction of the assailant who was described as overweight and wearing a black T-Shirt.

It's a miracle he didn't hit any bystanders.

Couldn't hit a fat biker with three shots? Should this bloke be armed?
