Satcommlee Posted October 12, 2013 Share Posted October 12, 2013 OK, determined to give up smoking, a work colleague and I decided to make a bet that the first person to smoke a cigarette has to pay the other 50K. I'm doing fine at the moment but I suspect my adversary is having the sly cigarette out of sight of others. Is there like a breathalyser I can buy to catch him out and claim my 50K? You can smoke an electronic cigarette without it affecting the readout as they don't involve CO. I've done a bit of reading about and come across that sort of thing, I need something I know I can buy in Thailand. The fingertip inspections are not working.. When me and the wife got Life insurance this was the test they used. I presume if you have Nicotine in your system you are a higher risk, so higher premiums or no cover. After he goes for his 'walk' just get close to him and sniff the air. Cigarette smoke will linger on his breath and on his clothes. You don't know some of my mates, some of them fully clothed would sour milk (joke) But seriously, someone who cheats to win a bet knows that they have cheated, that makes for a very hollow victory. Will you come on this forum asking members how to get your 50K from someone who did not pay the bet. He will pay up, this is not something between two random special forces guys in some Pattaya bar. I would pay up without hesitation (although I may try and hide it for as long as possible). I think rather than buy some complicated device, I think good old fashioned detective work is needed.
