Money exchange?

Featured Replies

Hello guys just a quick question
Anyone know how you can exchange large amount of money from USD to TB?

example 1mil USD how would you bring it to thailand and exchange it? (dont have 1million just a scenario lol)

I have to be honest ... if you don't have it ... why ask?

.

PM me when you have it - I'll help thumbsup.gif

You wouldnt carry cash thats for sure, over 10k usd has to be declared or you coukd have it confiscated. The logical alternative is bank transfer, although there are also numerous other methods such as fx type companies and good old western union.

Larger amounts also require paperwork from Thailand regarding its use or you will never take it out of the country again.

My brother recently sold some property, had $300,000 sent to him in a bank transfer, took a while but no problems with the money getting here.

I believe it's over $20,000 USD that needs to be declared.

1 mil USD? right, why ask if you don't have?

I'd think the bank transfer would be the sensible way.
