2nd grade education but Ph.d. in life

Featured Replies

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you all what a wonderful wife I have! Yes, she is Thai. Only has a 2nd grade education. From Issan. But educated herself to read and write Thai, and learned to speak English (yes we still have disagreements usually caused be simple misunderstandings of what is said). Raised a family of 3 on her own after first husband left 20 years ago.

I met her 10 years ago at Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok.....she was my physical therapist (I was admitted with severe back Pain).

We have been together ever since. She has a heart of gold. Thinks of everybody else before herself....something unusual for me coming from America .....and Now I realize that she is unique in Thailand as many Thai's think ONLY of them selves or of themselves first (especially when it comes to driving).

She is Truly a special Lady....and as I like to say she has a Ph.d. in life. Happy Wife....Happy Life.

There is so much Thai bashing going on (And I am as guilty as most) ....just wanted to post something nice....

I am sure there are many more stories, and actually I've seen some recent threads that have been positive, Just like to hear more.

Sooooo....if you have a good story about your wife, neighbor or even just a Stranger......Please Post ....it makes my day to hear something nice!

Very heart-warming story Mr Bocceball. Great to hear that we share the same love for our women and family and that normality and family values are not unique to a blessed few in Thailand. Graduate in the good things about humanity indeed!clap2.gif

Dr. Robert.....appreciate your kind words...and glad to hear you are as lucky as I am....But I didn't write this thread to collect "slaps on the back" for my nice story..no offence I hope...

Really was more interested in the stories people have to tell....Like the car breakdown and Thai's pulling over to assist ....or Thai neighbors who have many times less than you who bring over a meal every now and then because they worry your not eating....ETC.

Gotta slap you on the back though. Only to say; i envy you !

Then I think your topic title is rather misleading. smile.png

BUT, I am a happy bunny too. thumbsup.gif
