Transport Min to enforce seat belt fastening on all public buses and vans

BANGKOK, 17th October 2013 (NNT) - The Transport Ministry is keen on enforcing the law requiring public bus or van passengers to wear seatbelts, said Deputy Transport Minister Mr.Pong Chewananth.

PM Yingluck firm on peace, co-existence with Cambodia ahead of Preah Vihear ruling

Final vote on Article 190 scheduled for Nov 2

BANGKOK: -- Parliament has scheduled November 2 to cast final vote on the passage of amended Article 190 of the Constitution.

Wednesday's night saw the completion of the second reading on the charter amendment bill related to the framework for international agreements.

PHUKET: -- A Phuket man who was shopping at SuperCheap last night (October 16) has described the moment the fire broke out, saying the entire building was engulfed in around 10 minutes and there was no warning.

PHUKET: -- The island’s Provincial Police Commander, Pol Maj Gen Ongart Phiuruangnont, announced at a press conference this morning (October 17) regarding the SuperCheap fire that there is still no confirmation of what might have started the blaze.

Thai industrial confidence index worst in 23 months

BANGKOK, Oct 17 – Thailand’s industrial confidence index (ICI) in September plunged for the last 15 months to its lowest in 23 months due to concerns over floods and political instability, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) said today.
