East Pattaya Frog Farm owner electrocuted as he cleans tank

PATTAYA: -- On Wednesday Morning Police and rescue services were called to a Frog Farm in East Pattaya after the owner was found face-down in one of the tanks which was also full of dead frogs.

The incident occurred at a Frog Farm in Soi Santisook and led to the death of Khun Pornchai aged 43, who is thought to have remain undiscovered for between 1 and 2 hours.

He was found by his 12 year old Son who attempted to pull his father from the tank but he then sustained severe burns to his arm in the process and was rushed to Hospital for emergency treatment.

Khun Mondree aged 52 is the Village Chief and Brother-in-Law of the deceased man and heard the screams of the boy and ran to assist him.

Not surprising seeing most of the electrical work in these parts. Nice to see the boy was spared...maybe the village chief will institute some electrical safety training in his fiefdom after this.

The frogs revenge?

Lucky he didn't croak.

RIP. At least he was trying to make an honest living. Hope the boy is not scarred for life. Must be the fault of farang set and their passion for the legs.....

Poor kid. I hope he recovers.

The frogs revenge?

I want to say Krama, but I think this could also happen to anyone.

Must be the fault of farang set and their passion for the legs.....

Don't forget that French just copied English about eating frogs... ;)

Why do you say that...go to any Thai wet market and you will see frogs for sale for human consumption.

Bugger you. You stole my line, I was going to use something like that.

Water and electricity in Thailand is a death trap. RIP to the victim and the frogs.
