October 17, 201312 yr But 96 % of people who read this information are compelled to try it! So this brings me to living-in-Thailand-relevancy: has your sense of humour changed since you moved to LOS? Do you laugh more? Make more jokes, have more fun? I certainly notice that I laugh more and out loud and not care what people think anymore and I am happier and healthier for it. What about you? And yes, I have left myself wide open to the wit and wisdom of TV land having posted this one...
October 17, 201312 yr Some people can kiss or lick their own elbow, a very small number though. I never used to find myself laughing at people tripping over bad paving in the UK ........ here, it's hilarious.
October 17, 201312 yr Yep I tried. My sense of humour seems to get less as I get older. I don't think being in Thailand has any relevance to my aging.
October 17, 201312 yr Popular Post I don't laugh like I used to, but that has nothing to do with Thailand and everything to do with changes in the place where I used to do most my laughing - the work place. The first 15 years of my working life where characterised by going home some nights with my sides aching from laughing at the craic - I mean really, the workshop or the office was full of constant humour. Sadly that's all gone, replaced by offices that feel like libraries, corporate policies aimed at getting us to acheive the quality of work we rolled off between laughter before the policies came into force - and of course inititiatives from the management to get us to talk to each other, get to know each other and 'build teams'. I've even seen initiatives stating 'work can be fun' ..... well yes it used to be.
October 17, 201312 yr "I certainly notice that I laugh more and out loud and not care what people think anymore..." Both are symptoms of going looney. Do you happen to live in a cardboard box?

It is strange that when I read stuff here or talk to chums on Skype and LAUGH, the ''familly'' here all look at me as if I have lost my marbles , well I have but don't tell them eh. BUT, it seems that LOS folk have a real problem showing laughter, or happiness. And noooo, I cannot kiss my ass.
October 17, 201312 yr Yes, I now find near misses on the roads due to sloppy driving absolutely hilarious and their cousin, horrific accidents, have me in stitches if not paralyse me.
October 17, 201312 yr I find I do laugh a lot more here, I'm a happy guy not much gets me down. Just the other day at a store, the clerk was trying very hard to speak English, she was really good until the end when she said "mister enjoy the rest of your day(s)" I burst out laughing right in front of the poor girl and had to try to explain the added "s" was not the best thing to say to older people - I laughed all day and night, back home I would have smiled and forgotten about it within an hour.

IMHO...email and the great digital age promised better/easier/ more efficent communications...but its actually made it worse
