My visa runs out tomorrow and I need a good way to escape the country.

I was thinking of getting the bus to Chiang Khong and onto Hauy Xai. I just need to know if guest houses in Hauy Xai have wifi?

Why not just catch a bus to Mae Sai, step across the border and back in, and get yourself a couple of weeks to plan a better exit?

We went up to Mae Sai on Tuesday.

Hmmmm I dont think the planning was fine at all or he wouldnt have missed the flight out. In the military we had an acronym for things like this, it was called the 7 P's:

Prior Planning and Preparation Prevent Piss Poor Performance.

If he had planned properly then he would have been at the airport with plenty of time to spare, maybe it occurred due to a few to many beers and a decrease in brain cells? But then maybe it was just a lapse of memory.
