I am a British citizen married to a Thai woman and am staying in Thailand on a one year Multiple 'O' Visa Extension based on Marriage valid until 06 August 2014 (third yearly extension using this method). I have a Work Permit for working in Bangkok that expires end of May 2014 and am considering resigning at the end of this year to work for another Company in Thailand. My questions are:

1. Do I have to cancel my Work Permit on the day of my formal resignation?
2. Is it possible to get my existing Work Permit revised to show my New Employer, Address, Job, etc?
3. If I cancel my Work Permit am I correct in assuming that I can still stay in Thailand because I have a one year Multiple 'O' Visa Extension based on Marriage?
4. If I do have to go through a new application process for the Work Permit am I correct in assuming that the minimum salary requirements of 50 000 Baht per month will not be applicable as my stay in Thailand is based on a one year Multiple 'O' Visa Extension based on Marriage? My expected salary will be more than 50 000 however I just want to clarify if I need to document this.
5. Can a Work Permit be issued for working for a Thai Company from an Office at Home using the Internet?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Sorry forgot to mention that my one year Multiple 'O' Visa Extension based on Marriage was issued based on the minimum 400 000 Baht in my Bank.

1. Not sure of any requirement on time but needs to be canceled or a fine will be due when they find out at application for new work permit. Business can also do the cancel process I believe.

2. Believe this has to be done while employed as an added company with agreement of first. Most cases are not worth the effort from reqports.

3. You have a one year Thai wife extension so the answer is yes it continues to be valid. Multi re-entry permit has nothing to do with it.

4. Your stay is based on 400k in bank and that will continue unless you change to 40k income of change reason for extension.

5. Have no idea as have not seen any reports of this. But do believe there must be a place of business on work permit and you are expected to be there so that might be a problem.
